Standing on Love with Faith

I have three tiny pewter angels sitting on the base of a crystal lamp facing me by a mirror that I use every morning.  Their names, Love, Hope and Faith are beautifully inscribed between their heart shaped angel wings.

They see me, listen to me, pray with me every day and honestly – I’m so used to them being there, I hardly notice them.

Except.

This time I noticed – I couldn’t help but notice.

My tender sacred heart was pondering a heart prayer that I had just prayed and I was leaning into hope, the hope of a miracle.

I barely nicked the lamp shade with a whisper from my finger as I reached up to run a comb through my hair.

Instantly a heard a melodic thud.  The pewter angel of FAITH fell to her face so I could read her name clearly –

Faith, the exercise that follows hope.

I love that there is a purpose and power to faith and that opening to every yes to loving ourselves builds a stronger and deeper faith within.

Committing to those yeses requires an ever-increasing amount of faith because we have no idea where each yes will take us.  There is no evidence in sight of the outcome, but faith is what gives us the courage to let go anyway – we let go into faith and discover that trust has us safely in her wings.

Trusting this universe that is simply Love loving us.  Trusting that we are both our prayers and our answered prayers, as the flower seed is both the seed and the blossomed flower.

When you doubt your holy being today, may Faith scoop you up in her wings and bring you back to your own precious sacred heart, so that you remember the truth of your divinity and who you really are.

loving you,
Theresa
