These heart shaped pods are upside down and filled with seeds floating as they allow new seeds to take hold in the mud below the waters surface, and then in the spring give rise to new lotus plants.  No matter how muddy our life is, our past was – Love always takes hold, germinates and one day we gloriously bloom. (Love is the only thing that can make that happen)
