I was in my early teens tooling down I-5 on my first real road trip with a very fun girlfriend.  We were crammed in my little 1965 Volkswagen bug packed to the hilt and we didn’t care! 

The fabulous feeling of just being ‘free’ and on the road (with just us) took away any physical constriction we may have experienced in such tight quarters. 

One of our first stops was to experience the redwood trees in Northern California.  I will always remember stepping on that clear well-trodden path winding through the redwoods.  The ancient, wise energy of these majestic, colossal trees filled the air with a sacred palpable presence. 

The trees drew me in, and I moved closer.  Tears streamed down as I stood for I don’t know how long – feeling a warmth and awe saturate my heart and every cell of my being wrapping me in the embrace of those magnificent redwoods. 

I listened in deep silence to the voice of their primordial wisdom speak of strength, endurance, gentleness and grounded aliveness. 

I walked in indescribable beauty that day.

Trees call us, birds sing to us, flowers brighten the world for us and delight our being with the sweetest fragrance.  Warm, crisp or breezy the air fills our lungs with breath; the rivers, ocean, and water whether moving with the current or placidly still, all matchthe rhythm of our soul and purify us clean.  Stars shimmer like diamonds and the sands of the sea cushion our step. 

There’s infinite Love inside and outside – everywhere we are in this moment of NOW.
